A Heaven in the Eye
Published in Hardcover by Breitenbush Books (August, 1984)
Author: Clyde Rice
Average review score:

a heaven in the eye
A HEAVEN IN THE EYE by Clyde Rice is an exceptional first hand account of life in the Pacific Northwest and the San Francisco Bay area in the early 1900's. Not only is the story of the hardships and joys experienced by the main characters riveting, but the manner in which Mr. Rice paints the backround canvas of life and locations so detailed, you will feel as though you have been along with him in a time one can only dream about. I highly recommend this, and any of Clyde Rice's books to every reader, but particularly those who live or have lived in the richly portrayed locations that he shares with us. Especially fascinating is his accoumt of the erection of the Bay bridge in San Francisco, and what life was like before, and after its completion.

Hillbilly Night Afore Christmas
Published in Hardcover by Pelican Pub Co (November, 1983)
Authors: Thomas Noel Turner and James Rice
Average review score:

A different version of the Night Before Christmas.
What would a night before christmas be if their were no reindeer, only bears? And Santa Claus's name wasn't Santa, but Sainty? If it took place in a cabin? It would be a Hillbilly Night before christmas!! A great book!

Hip, Hip, Hip Hippopotamus: A Celebration of God's Creation
Published in Hardcover by Crossroad/Herder & Herder (June, 1996)
Authors: Mary Rice Hopkins and Wendy Francisco
Average review score:

Love finding those hidden hippos!
I love reading this book to my nieces. They actually sing through the book since it's written by their favorite singer, Mary Rice Hopkins. The words are catchy and the illustrations are exceptional the way Wendy Francisco hid the hippos in the stars, sea, trees, mountains, and sky.

Hot Illustrations for Youth Talks 4
Published in Paperback by Zondervan (01 September, 2001)
Authors: Wayne Rice and Les John Christie
Average review score:

Not Just for Youth Groups Anymore
The students in my high school English classes love the stories in this book. I use the stories to introduce a piece of literature or to reinforce literature read. Not only do the students enjoy it, but they are also subtly receiving character/moral/values lessons without even realizing it. I would highly recommend this book for both those who work with teens in either a Christian or secular environment.

Best Walk-thru I've Used
This was one of the best walk-through book (text and images) that I have used in learning Access. Access is somewhat a more difficult application to learn, but this format was great.

Thnks for the author who developed the first thought of this design.

A Hundred Ways to Sunday: Guided Drumming Journey [ABRIDGED]
Published in Audio CD by Be Who You Are Press (01 November, 2001)
Author: Robin Rice
Average review score:

Totally Relaxing, and enlightening journey
I have been afraid of trying anything like this, for fear that
I would 'lose myself', but I have that fear no more! After reading
the book '100 Ways to Sunday', I decided that I would try the drumming journey. As a result, I was freed of a fear I have carried all my life, and my spirituality has opened up in leaps and bounds.
The drumming in the CD is wonderful to listen to, and Robin's voice is very calming, and non threatening.
The CD also has a nice introduction, and Robin holds a really
in depth discussion with 3 different contemporary shamans. Many
answers about journeys and drumming are answered in the discussion, which makes you very relaxed about actually taking the journey. I can not say enough about the postive results of this CD in my life!

I Am a Barbarian
Published in Paperback by Ace Books (October, 1985)
Author: Edgar Rice Burroughs
Average review score:

The life of Britannicus Caligulae Servus
This is the fictional autobiography of Britannicus Caligulae Servus, a rare treasure pulled out of the Burroughs vault. Britannicus, the slave of the mad Roman emperor Caligula, goes through many exiting adventures as he grows more and more weary of his overlords. It is an example one of Burroughs' only bittersweet endings, but it is a remarkable tradegy by the Master of Adventure which no ERB reader should miss. It's too bad it's currently out of print.

Authors: Patrick W. Rice and Jennifer Dirks
Average review score:

A Practical Guide for My Retirement
I'm not sure which was the most frustrating:
Watching my 401K shrink over the last few years.
OR
Having financial & real estate people tell me self directed real estate IRAs were not legal.
This book not only tells the reader why they are legal, but how to do it. Whatever your stage in life and whatever your station, there is a way to take advantage of nuggets in this book.
Thank you Rice, Dirks and your staffs for the advice and resources in the book as well as your Website.
